'A Declaration of Independence' Genre: Free Verse

They Did Not Make Me,
Thence They Cannot Break Me.

They Did Not Bless Me,
Thence They Cannot Curse Me.

They Did Not Educate Me,
Thence They Cannot Make A Dummy Of Me.

They Did Not Give Me Honor,
Thence They Cannot Bring Me Dishonor.

They Did Not Feed Me,
Thence They Cannot Starve Me.

They Did Not Clothe Me,
Thence They Cannot Uncover Me.

They Did Not Give Me My Fame,
Thence They Cannot Take Credit For My Name.
They Cannot Take Credit For My Name.
They Cannot Take Credit For My Name . . .

. . .They Did Not Make Me Wealthy,
Thence They Cannot Bring Me To Poverty.

They Did Not Exalt Me,
Thence They Cannot Humble Me.

For It Is He, The King Of Kings,
Who Has Made Me.
For It Is He, The King Of Kings,
Who Has Made Me . . . CE.
